The diagram below contain information regarding the percentage of people occupied in various type of position in 1999 and 2001.
The two graphs compare the percentage of people with six different levels of employment status in 1998 and 2001.
According to the pie graph, the top three works status in 1998 are; First, people with full time job contract ranging approximately at 37%, next was part timer employees with 27% then the third was self employed status with exactly 19%. The remaining 15% were distributed between the contractual and the casual employees with 12% and 3% respectively. In addition to that, the people with no current jobs was the lowest among the group at 2%.
With regard to employment percentage in the bar graph in 2001, compared to the data illustrated above, it was almost the same percentages in all levels of work status, except the unemployment rate which increased rapidly from 2% in 1998 to 8% in 2001.
To sum up, the percentage of people in work during 1998 and 2001 were much the same across all types, however there was a marked rise in unemployment from 2% to 8%.
