The given table illustrates the sales at a small restaurant located in downtown business district in one particular week of October. Overall, income from dinners was greater as compared to lunch in all days of a week in this month.
About lunch sales, the maximum were on Friday ($2500) and minimum were on Sunday($1,550). Apart from Thursday, the income generated from lunch profits gradually stepped up from Monday to Wednesday. On Thursday, however, there was slight drop recorded in lunch income ($2,375) followed by slight rise on Friday ($2,500). Nevertheless, on weekend days i.e; on Saturday and Sunday , the sales became significantly lower in contrast to weekdays.
On the other hand, the greatest number of people paid for dinners on Friday i.e; 10th October than any other day of week and the lowest sale was obtained on Sunday making total of $2,450. Similar to lunch sales, the sales of dinner from Monday till Friday steadily escalated from a value of $3,623 to $4,350. Yet on weekend, sales almost cut down to half ($2,450 on Sunday) in comparison with Friday's peak income($4,350).
On the whole, the sales on weekdays were quite higher in contrast with weekend when they were significantly lower.
