You are having a graduation party next Saturday night. You have invited 50 people to celebrate at an outdoor barbecue evening, which may continue into late into the night. Write a letter to your elderly neighbour. In your letter:
• explain what will be happening
• offer your apologies in advance
• invite her to join the celebration
Dear Mr Jack,
I just thought of writing this small letter to tell you about my graduation party which will be hosting on next Saturday night at my backyard.
It would be a barbeque night with some DJ music and about 50 of my friends and family will be coming. I really work hard with my exams all year-long and finally, I got the result which I deserved. This is just a small celebration to have some fun and ease-up all the stress.
Just want to inform you early about the possible inconvenience which may incur to you during Saturday night. Probably the music and dancing would continue till late at night. Anyway, as a fun-loving neighbour, I really would like to invite you if you could join us. I hope you can sing some songs and enjoy the company of my friends. My parents and two uncles also would come and you can have a great time with them.
I will try to minimize the troubles for you. Again, if you could join us it would be a great pleasure.
Yours sincerely,
Peter Parker
