A glance at the provided table reveals the percentage of consumer spending on various items in Europe countries, including Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and Turkey in 2002.
On balance, most spending belonged to food, drinks, and tobacco; by contrast, the expenditure on leisure and education was minimum in out of five categories.
The rate of spending food, drinks, and tobacco in Turkey ranked first, at nearly one third, following by that in Ireland, at roughly 29%. Additionally, the figure for leisure and education in Turkey was twice as higher as the one for Ireland in comparison between 4.35% and 2.21%. Nevertheless, the clothing and footwear figures for both of Ireland and Turkey shared the comparable with over 6 percent.
The percentage of Swedish expenditure on food, drinks, and tobacco was the smallest one, at 15.77%, however, in terms of education, its figure overtook that in Spain, which was the smallest one, at 1.98%. Regarding clothing and footwear, the rate of consumers in Italy was the highest one, at exactly 9 percent, whereas the smallest one belonged to Sweden. Besides, all of the rates in Italy were higher than those in Spain except for food, drink, and tobacco.
