Recently, there has been tons of debate as to working days by the employ in the company. More specifically, in regards to the reading passage, the writer put forth the idea of that working four days a week would be far better than working eight days a week for eight hours. in the listening, however, lecturer is quick to point out the several flaws in writer claims. In fact, the professor believes working four days a week wont effect the economic, quality life and employ rate and he addresses, in detail, the trouble with each point made in text.
first and foremost, the author of reading states that shortened workweek would increase the profit of company because the employ would feel rested and alert subsequently precision can be maintained in the work. some professional in the same field, however, stand in firm opposition to this claim. In the listening, for example, the professor states shortening the workdays would force the company to increasing cost of operation. he goes onto the say that deduce workdays would increase the cost for training to new comers and medical cure for the them. In addition to this more company space would be needed for more number of employ.
one group of scholar, represented by the writer, think that whole economy would be benefited by curtailing the workdays. of course, though, not all expert in this field believe this is accurate. Again, the speaker specifically address the point when he states hiring the new employ would be costly. The manager in office would think that four days employ can do the same work in for five days too which leads to over time and subsequently there will be the more provision of overtime and less employment to new comers.
Finally, the author wrap his argument by positing that in doing so would lead to the quality life. Not surprisingly, the lecturer take issues with this claim by contending that quality life wont be increase because of no more free time for them. Its clear that they will this will increase risk, increase job stability during the economic down. It is clear that there will be more trouble for author and lecturere to find a common ground on this topic.
