Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how the proposal discussed in the lecture would solve the specific challenges described in the reading passage.
The reading and lecture are both about possible to maintain a permanent human presence on venues, which professor in the lecture talks about the balloon-like station that it makes situations for people can live on it. The author of reading believes that there are three problems that cause the human cannot live on Venus. The lecture challenges the statements made by the author. He is of the opinion that these problems can solve by creation Balloon-like station.
First of all, the author suggests that the Venus has a high pressure (90 times greater than earth). It is important that this pressure can crush humans and space crafts that have decision landed on the Venus. This problem is challenged by the lecture. He says the pressure at the height of 50 kilometers above Venus’s surface is not different with the pressure’s earth, therefor humans can land on the Venus without be any crushed.
Secondly, the writer contends that the Venus has no water and oxygen for humans who want to live on it. The article notes that humans should import water and oxygen from the earth that this issue is impractical. The lecture, however, rebuts this by asserting that humans can produce a water and oxygen with materials that have on Venus. He elaborates on this be mentioning that the water and necessary oxygen can be produced from carbon dioxide and sulfuric acid which both of them exist on Venus’s atmosphere.
Finally, it is stated in the article that Venus gives just 40 percent of the sunlight. The author establishes 60 percent of sunlight blocks by denser layer of carbon dioxide, so humans cannot run their machines because their solar power cells has a little energy for operating them. The lecture, on the other hand posits that the sunlight 50 kilometers above Venus is sufficient. In that height, a sunlight through clouds and a sunlight reflected by clouds can be collected by people to use in the station.
