the passage's author and the professor both talked about a salty lake in America, the passage offered some solution to make the lake less salty like it's before's days, but on the other hands, the lecturer was against all of the solutions and she made some reasonable statements to be disagree with what the passage states.
First of all, the passage mentioned we can remove the salt from the lake by removing the salt in a process which would warm up the water and make it to the gas and collect the salts and again colding the water and putting it back to the lake, nevertheless, the lecturer asserts the salt which would remain from this process in that system, would make toxic gasses and would be unhealthy for people
second the passage's author asserts another solution which is moving water from ocean to the lake to make the percentage of water more and make the lake less salty, the lecturer however disagree suggesting that it would need a huge money which government may can not afford it because this for building the system which this idea needs, you should make pipelines in kilometers and it would be really expensive
the last key point passages' author said is to build some walls in the lake, but the lecturer acclaimed that it's not practical because it would be destroyed after the first earthquake
