You play a team sport with some friends. Last week a member of the team had an accident and wasn't able to play with you at the weekend. You decide to write to him in the hospital, telling him about the match.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter,
• tell him which team won
• say how you felt about the match
• ask how he is doing
You should write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Dear Joseph,
Hello, how are you? I hope you are feeling much better. I am writing this letter to give you my best wishes for a quick recuperation and moreover, would like to give you the highlights of the match you missed.
Last Saturday, we had a match of football in our college. Although, we were thrilled for the match, our entire team was missing you a lot. I am very delighted to give you this news that our team “The Red Dragon” has won the match. Though it was tough as you were not there, but our team members’ hard work and practice gave us the opportunity to bring the trophy in our college.
It was a very exciting match. Both the teams were excellent in their game scoring 2-2 points. In the end there were just 5 minutes left for the match to end and undoubtedly, it was a very tough situation for us to goal and earn one more point. But to our luck Andrew was able to do the goal and we won the match by 3-2 points.
I hope you are having a speedy recovery and soon will be able to join the college. We all are missing you a lot. Furthermore, the team is planning to visit you in the hospital on Friday. I hope it is fine with you.
Take care and see you soon
Best wishes,
Prabhpreet Kaur
