The reading and the lecture are both about Steller sea cow extension. The author in the reading feels there are three reason for this problem. However the professor challenges all the points of this argument considering no convincing.
To begin with, the author of the reading claim that. The sea cow decrease because they are being hunting by the native. Therefore the lecture robust this mentioning, was an enormous population very large. The native don't need a lot to survive.
Secondly, According to reading section,The availability of food and ecosystem was the reason for the extinction. The professor reject this argument saying that. It is no indication of the ecosystem was the reason. Was a plenty of food for them . Is less probable that because others animal like a whole could be affected. The whole population never declaim
Finally, In the last point , the reading passage believe that the european traders was the others reason for the extension. the lecture pasists that , in his point of view. The european n traders do not effect this population. When the european came to the island the mammals group was already there, so, the 700 years before they land. This is how the professor opposes the reading section
