The table illustrates the underground railway system in six cities.The table depicts the commencement,total distance in kilometres and number of passengers in millions.
Overall,it is immediately apparent from the table that the longest route was of London however,Tokyo accounted maximum passenger per year.
To begin,the London railway system opened in the mid of the 19th century having the longest route of about 394 km,registered passenger slightly less than 800. The other countries opened the underground railway system in the 20th century. Among which,Paris had the longest route(199 km) followed by Tokyo(155 km ) and Washington DC (126 km ). Interestingly,Tokyo had maximum number of passenger (1927 million per year) and Washington DC had as minimal as 144 million.
Moving further,Kyoto underground railway system had the smallest journey of 11 km with only 45 million passenger per year. The Los Angeles railway system opened in the early 21st century with 28 km of route and had half-a-million annually. In the end,it s constituted that Kyoto ad the least and Tokyo had the largest number of passenger.
