The pie charts reveal information about water utilization for three purposes in six regions of the world.
Overall, a considerable amount of water consumed for industrial and agricultural purposes, while the least amount of water used for domestic use.
To begin with, as can be seen from the pie charts, the water utilization in both North America and Europe shared almost a similar composition. To be more specific, a half amount of water required in industrial sectors, nearly one-third utilized for agricultural use, and the rest amount of water required for domestic purposes.
However, as for other areas, more than 80% of the water consumed for agricultural use. In Africa, 88% of the total water used for agricultural purposes, followed by 7% for domestic use, and only 5% for industrial use, while Africa had almost the same proportion with a difference of almost 2% to 4% compared to Africa. Moving to further, in Central Asia and South America, 88% and 71%, respectively, of the total water required in agriculture, 7% and 19% for domestic use, and 5% and 10% in industry.
