Essay topics:

You have been studying overseas and staying as a guest with a family for the last 6 months and have recently returned home. Write to the family. In your letter
• Thank them for having you.
• Say what you enjoyed about living with them.
• Tell them what your current plans are

Dear John, Suzi, and Maya,

How have you been? I already missed all of you. I’m sending this letter to thank you so much for the amazing time that I spent with you. Staying at your home was the best part of my entire studying stay in London. You were typically my second family, and I really enjoyed every moment with you.

The most enjoyable moments were when Maya surprised all of us by cooking her delicious apple pie. For me, it was the first time to taste this kind of sweets as it's not popular in my home country. That was just the best gift I’ve ever got after passing my exams. I barely remember the hardship of the exams, but I can remember how tasty the pie was.

About my exams, I’ve finally received my Master’s degree results and guess what! I’ve got A+. So my current plans are to complete my Ph.D. research studies. As you know, this is my childhood dream; I’ve always wanted to be a researcher as well as continue to be a professor. I hope to receive a scholarship in one of London’s universities so that we can meet and hang out together.

I can't wait to hear from you.

Yours,
Sara.
