Given is a line graph illustrating some pointed information regarding to smoking habits of both men and women in Someland from 1960 to 2000. It can be clearly seen that men are more likely to smoke than women.
Looking at the chart, the rate of males who smoked in Someland reveals an apparently downward trend during the given period. In 1960, the number of men that smoked is 600 and it still remained to be the highest rate according to the figures. The number then gradually declined throughout the years and reached 250 in 2000.
It is interesting to note that women, in contrast to men, witnessed some significant fluctuation from 1960 to 1980 and have a slightly decrease from 2980 to 2000. In more detail, from about 100 in 1960, the number of women that smoked soared considerably to over 300 in 1975, this is the only upward trend however. After the increase, the number saw a marked reduction from 300 to exactly 200 in 2000.
It is true that the descending tendency of the rate reveals that Someland can completely manage this negative habit, which is a positive fact.
