The diagram illustrates the stages involved in the production of chocolate
Overall, there are ten main stages in the process of producing chocolate, beginning with growing plants and ending with the finished products which were liquid chocolate
The first step is that cacao seeds are grown in three different countries, namely South America, Africa and Indonesia. Then, pods of cacao trees ripe red, those pods are harvested and each pod is cut in half to take white cocoa beans. Beans are fermented in order to increase the quality of cacao beans, before being spreaded in sun to dry. Following this, dried beans are put in large sacks
At the sixth step of the process, sacks are loaded onto train or lorry and transported to factory where it undergoes further processing. After being roasted at high temperature (350 degrees), cacao beans are crushed by machines so that shells of cacao beans are completely removed. Finally, inner part of beans are pressed until liquid chocolate produced
