The given tabular graphs represent the proportion of British students who can speak other languages apart from English, at one university in England, in the year 2000 and 2010. This passage will highlight the main features.
In these graphs, students are divided into 6 different types, Such as students who speak only one language that is French, Spanish or German and Students who can speak another, two other or even no other language.
In the year 2000, Student who speaks only German language and student who speak two other languages is given same as 10%, whereas students who can speak only French and students who can speak another language is given to be 15%. The remaining two are students who speak no other language which is about 20% and language that is spoken mostly by the student is Spanish which is about 30%.
In comparison to 2000, the percentage given for each type has changed a lot. As we see this year student who speaks no other language and French has shrunk to 10% each from 20% and 15%.
The German language is spoken equally by 10% of students. Whereas, students who speak two other languages, Another language and Spanish language have increased from 10%, 15% and 30% to 15%, 20%, and 35% respectively.
