Meanwhile, above 40% of female teenagers aged between 10 and 17 involved in biking, in comparison to roughly a quarter of their counterparts in the observed year.
The 40-59 age group had the lowest percentage of citizens riding a bike, with a rate of 12.3% for women and 8.0% for men. Additionally, by 2011, the figure for the middle-aged group had reached a similar level as that of the 60-and-over group, with 17.1% and 18.5%, accordingly.
