The graphs show the monthly prices of rice exports from ThaiLand and VietNam from 2012 to 2015
The line graphs give information on how prices of exported rice from Thai Lan and VietNam changed monthly during the period from 2012 to 2015.
It is immediately apparent that the monthy price of rice exports from Thailand was generally higher than the figure for VietNam's rice exports over the period shown. Overall, 2012 was the year in which The prices of exported rice was recorded the highest value in both countries.
As can be seen from the graphs, rice exported from Thailand was sold at 350 dollar per tonne, nearly doubled the exported rice prices of VietNam which only was 150 dollar/ tonne. During the year 2012, the figure for ThaiLand's export prices reached the highest value in February, at approximately 400 dollar per tonne, whereas That of VietNam was in November, with around 175 dollar for a tonne. It was 300 dollar for one tonne of exported rice from Thailand in January of the year 2013, before experiencing increase to 375 dollar in February and quickly dropped the lowest at 160 dollar/tonne in April, from that maintaning the prices from 160 to 180 dollar at the end of 2013. Throughtout 2013, The price of rice exports per year from VietNam was slightly fluctuated from January to April, but later rise to approximately 140 dollar/tonne and ranged around this number over remaining months.
In 2014, The price of rice export decreased marginally from 150 to 100 dollar over 12 months given, while the figure for VietNam's rice export rose moderately from 60 dollar to nearly 110 dollar per tonne. Regarding to 2015, a similar trend in the change of the prices of rice export every months from two countries. Particularly, rice exported from VietNam and ThaiLand was sold at 25 dollar and around 55 dollar in January, before increasing to 50 and 70 dollar respectively in February but later the price went on with an increase of 20 dollar from both countries in the remaining months.
