Overall, getting news is the main reason for using the internet among all age groups. Likewise, 5 of 6 age groups more utilize the internet because they want to do product research and, then, looking for information to buy a product.
It is apparent from the information supplied that teens mostly use the internet for playing online games and getting news, which accounted for 81% and 76%, respectively. However, with age goes by, people spend less time playing games. The main purposes of internet usage among 20s youth are product researching (79%), buying a product (68%) and getting news (73%). The 30s people have a similar pattern as 20-years.
It is also evident that 40s and 50s adults have the same pattern of internet usage. The primary reason is product searching, which accounted for 83% for the first group and 79% for the second group of people. The next main purpose is getting fresh news, which is 75% and 71%, respectively. In the third place is "buying a product" reason, with around 68% for each group. 74% of elderly people of the 60s tend to use the internet for watching the news and product searching, whereas only 70% of 70s aged people use this network for the same purposes.
