I cannot express to you how ecstatic I am to learn, from your Facebook announcement, that you and David are in the family way. That will not only help ward off your boredom for one day but it will feel like old childhood days when we took play-dates and sleep-overs at each others’ homes. I cannot believe our lives have moved so far ahead and we are now at the cusp of turning into parents ourselves.
I would like to put date in your diary and block September 27 this coming Friday for me to visit you. Please let me know of an alternative as I do not wish to come in the way of your couple-time on the weekend. I could come in at 10:30 a.m. and spend time with you until after tea at 4 p.m.
Since I know you have restricted mobility and the nutrition in your food is important, I would like to bring along a special nice 'Moroccan Tagine' dish which is now my specialty. It seems like the perfect choice as it is very slow cooked chicken, loaded with Mediterranean vegetables, dried apricots and nuts.
I cannot wait to spend time with you and to hear every detail of how this big milestone unfolded for you.
