The flow chart highlights the severe impacts of deforestation in various aspects
In general, the main consequences of deforestation could be divided into four immediate effects, which ultimately lead to 2 major pernicious outcomes in the long term.
As can be observed from the chart, clear-cutting of forests results in heavy logging tools and equipment compress the soil with the aim of making it hard and baked. Because of that, rainwater runs off these soil without any difficulties and this is greatly attributed to devastating floods
At the same time, there are 3 other hazards resulted from deforestation namely reduced roots in the forests, increased risk of burning as well as less moisture was returned to the air. Interestingly, they all introduce pioneer species while the vegetation is reduce downgraded, which is reportedly responsible for the deterioration of biodiversity. To be specific, since there are merely a few roots remain, topsoil is less likely to be held in place and, therefore, soil erosion is inevitable. Concerning the climbed number of forest fires, which can be caused either accidentally or intentionally, it goes without saying that waste woods from logging is eliminated and so do the microorganisms relied on them. Last but not least is the decrease in the amount of moisture produced by plants. This phenomenon is synonymous with less precipitation and, consequently, droughts hit us.
