In any field — business, politics, education, government — those in power should be required to step down after five years.
Power is a way to show people quality and capability. Some people who work in business, politics, education or government want to step down after five years term, but some don´t. In my opinion, these fields of work are very important to the country and I don´t think people should resign after five years. I will provide two relevant reasons why those people should keep their positions longer.
Firstly, I will mention education. Education is the key to success. It is important to all the other areas of development of the society and it has a long-lasting effect. You are not born an educator. You develop your skills during your teaching practice, cooperation with the colleagues and you also improve your leadership skills. During the years your experience is growing and then you can be chosen for the leading position. But when you get there you also start learning and understanding new things which can take a year even more. If you are good at your job, then it would not be reasonable to resign after five years because now you are experienced and you can do your job very well.
Secondly, I want to talk about government and politics. They are very important for the country and for its people. They make rules, regulations, laws concerning life in the country and relationships with other countries. A high position of a person in government or politics is like that of a lion among the animals. The position of the lion - the king of animals- is unique. He is the leader, he creates the rules. But not everyone is born a leader. So people in high state positions are also learning, maybe sometimes even making bad decisions, but year by year their leadership powers are improving. So I do not think they should step down after five years if they are really capable. For example, the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is an excellent leader for India, so he should definitely stay in his position for another electoral period.IBut in case of incapability the people in high positions should resign, maybe even earlier.
In my view, this topic is very complex. There could also be a case of incapability of the people in high positions. Then they should resign, maybe even earlier. Nevertheless, I think that in most cases people in high positions shouldn´t be required to step out after five years as it is not beneficial for the country.
