The four given charts illustrate the result of questionnaires from a nation in the American area in order to know the main purposes of teenagers using phones in school in four years; 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019.
It is clear that the teenagers using phones in school for checking social networks was seen a vast majority in the proportion of four main reasons. Contrastly, the percentage of use for phone calls was seen to drop gradually over each period.
In 2016, half the percentage of the entire reason was registered for social networks, after that, this figure fell slightly to 48% before climbed to 51% and 56% in 2018 and 2019 respectively. Similarly, the digital camera was at 15% in both years 2016 and 2017, then increased marginally to 18% and reached a peak in 2019, at 20%.
Regarding using email, in the initial year, it was reached at a quarter of the total percentage, and this was followed by an unconsiderable decrease to 24% and 20% in 2017 and 2018 before hit the lowest point at 19% in 2019. It was similar for phone calls, 13% was seen in 2017 that more than 3% in 2016 and experienced a decline to 11% in 2018. After that, this data plummeted to under 5% in the last year.
