The two maps below show the developments along Olive Drive before and after the construction of new facilities between 1980 and 2010.
The maps compare the area around Olive Drive after the renovation bewteen 2008 and 2010.
Overall, it is clear that there were several changes taking place on both sides of the road. After the remodeling work, the area become more residential and offered new businesses.
On the north side of the road, the house unit lined the park along the vehicle tracks was extended along the main road in 2010, making Olive Drive a more residential area. Another noticeable change was the construction of the school right near the denizen’s area, while the park maintained its position.
On the other side of the road, the original shops were reduced in size to pave the way for the erection of the supermarket, and the shopping centre located next to this new facility. The new coffee shop was erected on the place which used to be a bank, while the bank was moved to behind the community centre. The community centre and the hospital remained unchanged throughout the period.
