You would like to buy some electrical goods at a shop in a nearby town.
Write a letter to the shop and ask if they have the things you want or whether they will be able to order them. Ask what the prices are and how long they will be able to hold the goods for you.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to request for some assistance. I have recently shifted to your neighbouring town due to work. It has been extremely hectic with setting up everything as my work commences next week. I would like to purchase a few electrical appliances from your shop and would really appreciate if you could provide me with some information regarding them.
I would like to place order for a geyser, though every house is facilitated with a geyser, the geyser at my place is pretty old and the water is not warm enough to work with. I have consulted with a mechanic and he recommended replacing the geyser rather than fix it, as the former option would be more cost efficient. In addition, I would also like to purchase a bedside lamp as the lighting here is not sufficient for reading purpose. If the items are not available at your store, could you please place an order on my behalf?
Furthermore, I would like to know the possible prices of these items so that I can include them in my budget. As I have recently started living here, I have yet to be familiar with the standard of living here. Therefore, knowing the prices will help me deal with my daily expenses.
I would also like to know how long would you be able to hold the products for me? I am assuming it would take at least a week to receive the products if they are not available at your store. It would also take some time to visit your shop to pick up the goods sometime next week.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
Your faithfully,
Ammy Brens
