summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The following chart provides some information about the people of United Kingdom made how many billion minutes calls via Local, National and International fixed lines, and Mobile during a 7-year period from 1995 to 2002.
As can be clearly observed from the chart, there are two trends: upward and downward based on the number of minutes of calls. Despite the fact that there was a significant increase in Local fixed line calls from 1995 to 1999, the calls through Local fixed line experienced a dramatic decrease from 90 billion minutes to nearly 70 billion minutes during 1999 to 2002.
On the other hand, both National and International fixed line and Mobile calls witnessed a sharp climb within 1995 to 2002. The former went up drastically from under 40 billion minutes to slightly above 60 billion minutes. At the same time, the latter rose dramatically from around 5 billion minutes to about 45 billion minutes. In addition, the calls via Mobile were always far less than National and International fixed line calls during 1995 to 2002.
It is clear from the chart that the calls which were made by Local fixed line were always significantly more than both Mobile and National and International fixed line.
