You have seen an advertisement in an Australian magazine for someone to live with a family for six months and look after their six- year-old child.
Write a letter to the parents. In your letter
- Explain why you would like the job
- give details of why you would be a suitable person to employ
- say how you would spend your free time while you are in Australia
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter as an expression of interest towards your advert published in the magazine for staying and taking care of your beloved six-year-old child for a period of six months. I am a certified day-care professional living in Sydney, Australia for more than a decade.
Taking care of young kids requires a very special skill-set involving looking after every-day needs such as brushing teeth, regular showers, dressing up, breakfast etcetera. I am fully aware of these daily chores which includes the above mentioned tasks and as well as the other outdoor activities which the child requires from time to time. Moreover, I will keep the child engaged in arts and crafts, weekend outings and story-telling about his favorite characters.
Therefore, I believe that I am a suitable candidate for this job and can assure you of my credentials and that your child will be safe in my custody. I have also acquired a green belt certification from a renowned karate institute to tackle some unfortunate situations related to child’s safety. I have attached my certifications and affiliations for your consideration and details of two references. You may check and call them for a detailed feedback of my services.
I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Best regards,
Emma Watson
