The three pie charts depict the differences in yearly budget of a specific school in the UK in 1981, 1991 and 2001.
In general, there were five categories composed of the total annual spending, including teachers’ salaries, furniture and equipment, resources, other workers’ salaries and insurance. Of which the first mentioned category was the highest while the lowest budget went to insurance.
Looking at the biggest proportion of these charts, spending on teachers’ salaries experienced an inconsistent trend as the percentage in the first studied year was 40 whilst the figure of the following year was 50, then it slightly dropped by 5 percent in 2001. Budget for resources witnessed the same movement. Its segment in the last year fell significantly to 9 percent compared to the two previous year. Conversely, the fluctuation saw on furniture and equipment was a slump in the started year before a recovery in final year.
These two remaining groups displayed stable changes. Insurance’s expense kept gradually increasing by 6 percent during the reporting periods, whereas spending on other workers’ salaries underwent a downfall by 13 percent.
