The maps illustrate the changes made to the transport system around the city hospital from 2007 to 2010.
Overall, the most noticeable change was the addition of 2 roundabouts on the hospital road. In addition, dramatic alterations were made to the parking facilities.
In terms of the road system, a roundabout was built in the junction between the city road and the hospital road, and the second roundabout was added to the junction where the hospital road met the ring road. The green areas on either side of the hospital road in 2007 were removed and a bus station was constructed on the left of the hospital road with road access to the 2 new roundabouts. The ring road remained unchanged over the period.
Parking facilities were also improved over 4 years. In 2007, there was a common car park for the staff and the public to the right of the hospital road. However, in 2010, it was dedicated to the staff, while a new public car park was built to the right of the eastern ring road, with access to the ring road.
