The diagram below shows a possible future means of home energy production
The process diagram illustrates gradually how future home energy is produced as an alternative to conventional means. With this innovation, people do not have to purchase electricity; in contrast, they can electrify their houses with self-production energy.
Overall, six main stages are designated as the basis for generating energy from this new process, commencing on composting treatment and culminating at electricity production, involving six primary equipment: a composting tank, methane gas storage, compressor, combustor, generator, and battery as final energy storage.
In a more detailed process, leaves, food, scraps, and water are collected to fill in a composting tank; However, those components are only allowed to load up ¾ of the tank, thus enabling the fermentation process to result in methane gas. The methane gas is then channelled through a pipe to be stored in a large containment, called the methane gas storage container. Next, the methane gas goes to the compressor.
For the rest process, the compressed gas moves to the combustion engine to produce energy through a mechanical process; Nevertheless, this energy is not ready yet to be used as an energy source. Furthermore, prior to stepping to the last part of the energy production process, the mechanical energy is applied in a generator to turn the energy into electrical energy, which then can be stored in a battery. In the end, the stored electricity can then be funnelled to houses for home uses.
