The illustration shows information about how an igloo is built from snow.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The given pictures depict the process by which an igloo is constructed from snow.
Overall, it is evident that there are five major stages entailed in the process, commencing with the finding of appropriate snow, and ending at the entrance cover stage.
Looking at the information in more detail, hard-packed snow must first be found and then, with a snow saw, snow blocks are cut to proper size which is 8 inches in length, 3 inches in width, and 15 inches in height. Following this, large blocks are placed at the base in a circle building upward, whereas the edges of them are smoothed to fit with other blocks. Subsequently, a hole is dug under the wall to create an entrance, and an oversized snow block is put at the top of the igloo.
During the following stage of the process, loose snow is shoveled onto the outside of the igloo so that all crevices can be packed. The internal surface, afterwards, is smoothed by hand instead. Simultaneously, any excess snow will be shoved out. Finally, a hole is dug in the shape of the entrance and covered with snow blocks after that.
