Overall, radio was the most popular medium that people of all ages except the group 10-17 used while microblogging was the less common medium in all groups.
In three latter groups, more than 85% of the population in each group used radio to read the news while just under one-fifth of the population in each used microblogging. Social networking was used differently in different groups, with half the group 30-49, 40% of the group 50-64, and a quarter of the group above 65 using it.
In both groups 10-17 and 18-29, social networking was used widely by four-fifth of each group. However, the proportion of group 18-29 getting news by microblogging was over 91%, which doubled the figure for group 10-17(40%). The use of microblogging was low in both groups, at 20% and 25% in group 10-17 and group 18-29 respectively.
