Overall, the sales of coffee were increased in all given nations, whereas the sales of bananas were rose in three out of five countries over the given period. However, the sales of both bananas and coffee were highest in the UK.
In 1999, around £1.5 million of money was generated by coffee in the UK, and this figure was increased to £20 million in 2004. The sales of coffee in Switzerland were considerably higher compared to Belgium (£3million versus £1million). Sweden's sales of coffee were only £0.8 million, which was also the least figure of the given table. Further, the sales of coffee in Denmark and Belgium were under £3 million.
In 2004, almost £47 million of the banana sales were recorded in the UK, which was almost eight times more than that of Switzerland's banana sales (£5.5 million). Surprisingly, the figures of Belgium and Sweden were uniform, in terms of banana sales with £1 million each. By 2004, a rise of £3 million had been observed in the sales of banana in Denmark.
