In 1975, the most popular fast food among Australian teenagers was fish and chips which was eaten about 100 time per year. However, apart from a slightly up trend from 1980 to 1985, the consumption of fish any chip was gradually decline between 1985 to 2000, when this type of fast food is only eaten 40 time per year by teenagers.
In sharp contrast to this, both consumption rate of hamburger and pizza in 1975 are much lower than fish and chips, which were fewer than 10 times a year. From 1975 to 1985, the consumption rate of hamburgers skyrocketed and from 1985 to 1990, it overtook fish and chips place to become the most famous fast food with teenagers in Australia. After that, this number rose gradually to the place where fish and chips began with more than 100 time eaten per year. Similar to hamburgers, the consumption of pizza followed a long uptrend between 1975 to 1995. After this period, it’s consumption rate remain unchanged from 1995 to 2000.
