The pie chart delineates the percentage of water used for different purposes in six different areas of the world. The different purposes depicted includes agriculture, industrial and domestic use. The six areas on which the data is presented are North America, South America, Europe, Central Asia, South East Asia and Africa. The data from pie chart indicates that the maximum percentage that accounts for 88% of water is utilized for agricultural use by Central Asia followed by Africa and South East Asia accounting for 84% and 81% respectively. South America also dedicate 71% of its water resource for agricultural use. The trend is completely opposite in the case of developed areas such as North America and Europe. In the developed areas maximum water is dedicated towards industrial use. Europe utilizes 53% and North America utilizes 48% of their respective water resource for industrial use. The water resource dedicated for industrial use in case of South East Asia , South America, Africa and Central Asia is 12%,10%,7% and 5% respectively. One can understand from the data that South America dedicates the highest percentage of 19% as compared to other areas for domestic use. This is followed by North America and Europe which dedicates about 13% and 15% respectively for domestic use. Africa dedicates 9% of its water resource and Central Asia and South East Asia dedicates 7% of their water resource for domestic use.
