The diagram below show the changes that have taken place in west Park secondary school since it's construction in 1950.
The diagram illustrates the modification of West park secondary school over 60 years. The construction started in 1950 and ended in 2010.
Overall, there were systematic changes in the area located in a school, though the playground remains almost the same throughout the years.
In the beginning, the left side of the main road has three blocks of houses near to the school building. The opposite of the school was the playground which is bordering the farmland. The location is divided equally into four plots. However, after 30 years the house block was replaced by a car parking area and created a new block for science which is extended from the main school building. In addition, farmland was renovated into a sports field but the playground kept on the same by 1980.
Finally, in 2010 a dramatic changes took place in car parking area which is expanded to sports field. Therefore the size of sports area diminished and covered some spaces of playground. Whereas, the main school building and science block are same like previous years.
