The table below shows the numbers of visitors to Ashdown Museum during the year before and the year after it was refurbished. The charts show the result of surveys asking visitors how satisfied they were with their visit, during the same two periods.
The charts illustrate how many people visited Ashdown Museum in two periods of time, before and after its redecoration, as well as the result of the questionnaires on the satisfaction level of the visitors during those periods.
As can be seen from the charts, the number of museum-goers increased after the refurbishment of the museum, accompanied by a positive trend in the level of satisfaction among the surveyed people.
In particular, before the Ashdown Museum was refurbished, there were 74,000 visitors choosing this site as their destination. In the second surveyed period, the figure grew into 92,000 people.
Furthermore, the number of people satisfied with the place increased markedly. At the beginning, when the site was not redecorated, a massive 40% of the visitors felt discontented with the museum, followed by only under a third of them satisfied. However, after the refurbishment, the satisfaction level increased to 40%, which accounted for the biggest part of the pie. The figure for “very satisfied” also rose by 20%, at 35%. Meanwhile, the figures for “dissatisfied” and “very dissatisfied” both decreased, 15% for the former and from 10% to 5% for the latter. “No response” section remained the same, at a tiny 5%.
