Dear Sir and Madam,
I am writing to inform you that I have borrowed a book from your library on 8 August but I lost it on a bus. I am hoping you would instruct me on how can I recompensate the lost book.
I am an international student and borrowed the book “Basic vision computation” on 8 August using my library card which the card ID is 12345678. However, I brought the book to visit my schoolmate the day before yesterday, I left the book on the bus. I contacted the bus company when I realized the missing book. Unfortunately, the staff of the bus company reported that they cannot find it as somebody may pick it up yesterday.
In this case, I am seeking your advice and would really appreciate your guidance regarding this. I will be ready to pay the full amount to buy a copy of the book if this is necessary.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Yours Faithfully,
Chris Wong
