The maps illustrate changes which has occurred in Grange park since 1920.
Overall, only the rose garden in the northeast corner and the two entrances have remained unchanged in nearly a century.
Since 1920, people have always entered Grange park via two gateways: one at Arnold Avenue in the northern side, the other in the opposite side at Eldon street. In the past, after going through the entrance, visitors would saw a fountain at the central area. This fountain has now been replaced by a rose garden surrounded with seats. Turning left from the entrance at Eldon street, there used to be a stage for musicians with seating and rose gardens on three sides. This stage and its surrounding, except for the rose garden in the northern side, had been upgraded into an enormous amphitheatre which is able to hold concerts. On the other side of the park, a glasshouse with viewing seats on the southwest corner have been destroyed to construct a water feature. A pond for water plans and a rose garden in the adjation corner in the 1920's map has also disappeared in the recent plan to make place for a children's playground and a coffes shop.
