What is being demonstrated in both tables is number of foreign students educating in Canada and United States in 2002 and 2003. The origin countries which students came from, are China, India, United States and Canada. Additionally, total number is cited in a separated column. Overall, number of students who were educating in Canada has increased in all three groups. Also international student had generally risen in United States except those coming from India. It is clearly noticeable that most students choose USA rather than Canada according to measurable changes.
To begin with, China did have the highest international students who decided to study abroad in Canada and United States. Nevertheless, those who were residing in United States were significantly more, the changes in one-year period was more transparent in Canada showing increase percent as 45%. On the other hand, USA students coming from china raised about 6% changing from 110,000 to 116,600. In Canada students who were originally from USA had an upward trend, turning 5,450 from 5,000 in 2003 and 2002 respectively. So, the changes in percent for that is cited as 9%. Alternatively, students who came from Canada to USA had also raised which were 31,000 turning 33,170 and the percentage of change is 7%.
whereas, Indian Students educating in Canada had improved around 35%, those choosing USA dropped about 9% which respectively first group turned 29,335 from 2,100 in 2003 and second group turned 182,000 from 200,000 in 2003. In total column, number of students studying in Canada in 2002 and 2003 were 62,870 and 70,004 in sequential order which they had a growth about 17%. In the next country which would be USA total students in 2002 and 2003 were respectively 581,600 and 592,230. According to these number increase percent in USA was not as eye-catching as Canada which was 2%.
