Your town council has decided to demolish an historic building due to lack of funds to renovate. Write a letter to your counsellor. In your letter, you should say:
-how you got to know of this news
-why it is important to preserve the historic building
-how the funds could be generated.
Dear Sir,
I hope you are doing well by the grace of Almighty. I am a local resident of our town since my birth and I am writing today in regards to preserve our antique church which is in the woods.
I heard from one of my neighbors that the council has planned for a deforestation program in the middle of the woods where our town's oldest church is built. In this program, the council has also decided to bring down the church for the development of new area with the help of a private organization because of the insufficient governmental funds required for renovation.
Yet our town's church building needs the renovation, demolishing it would not be a great idea as it represents as a historical monument of our small town. Due to this, outsiders from different state come to our town which serves the needs of bread and butter for native people in our area.
Consequently, being a historical monument building, we can generate funds by advertising our town's tourism beautiful destinations which includes lakes, mountains, forests, and our well-known 500 years old church. With the help of tourism coming from different parts of world, the council would get enough money to preserve to the whole land of woods including the church.
I hope you would like my suggestion and will cancel the demolishing of our oldest town's church.
Yours faithfully,
Shwatank Bhasin
