life on venus can be possible in a floating station above its surface
The essay explains the general idea that it is theoretically impossible to maintain life on the surface of venus due to its unviable conditions. The article generates three main reasons to support its claim: the first being the high pressure -almost 90 times greater than on earth- on the surface of the venus. The second reason venus is not habitable for humans is the lack of water and oxygen, and finally, the third argument discussed in the article is that very little sunlight reaches the surface of the venus due to a very heavy filter made of clouds and carbon dioxide in lower latitudes.
The lecturer contradicts the points made by the article on the basis that life is possible not on the surface of the venus, but in a floating station above the surface. the idea of the floating station thoroughly resolves all our aforementioned difficulties. as we know, the pressure decreases as we get higher latitude from the surface. so, in a floating station in high latitudes, humans have no risk of being crushed because of high pressure.
As for water and oxygen, a station can provide facilities to generate water and oxygen from carbon dioxide and sulfuric acid present in Venus' atmosphere. it is much more practical to use chemical reactions rather than transferring water and oxygen from the earth as mentioned in the article.
Finally to resolve the problem of sunlight, the floating station which is above the surface of the Venus not only gets much more direct sunlight, but it can also use the sunlight that is reflected from the clouds to generate power.
In conclusion, we can say with creative scientific solutions life on the Venus can be very much possible and some day, practical.
