A closer look at the process highlights 13 stages, beginning with cutting hard-packed snow and ending with the creation of ventilation holes in the roof or wall.
The building of igloo starts with hard-packed snow are cut by snow saw. After the original large blocks are formed, it is smoothed its eages and grouped together into half-sphere .
Subsiquently, a hole under the wall is digged for entrance. Next, which blocks is quite too large will be placed finally and on the top of the igloo. Following this, snow is fille onto the empty parts of the igloo to strengthen the structure. The the crevices is smoothed by hand inside the igloo before the hole at the entrance is covered by snow blocks like a roof. In the end, ventilation hole will be needed in the wall or roof.
