1: The chart below gives information about the amount of time children spend
with their parents.
The two bar charts compare the amount of time spent with parents of children at different
age groups in both weekdays and weekends. Each unit is measured in hour.
As can be seen from the graphs, time spent with dads is significantly lower than that with
moms. Whereas, the time for the whole family in in weekends makes up the highest
portion.
In weekdays, all children have a tendency to be with their mothers with approximately 6
hours. By contrast, the amount of time for father is rather low, ranging from an hour to
over 2 hours. Especially, the highest time for dads belongs to the 4-5 age group, which
account for one-third of that for moms. Interestingly, the children aged 6 to 9 years old
are prone to play with their parents in weekdays with over 2 hours while the other age
groups just spend nearly an hour beside their parents.
Another striking feature is that kids at all age groups spend most of their playing time to
be with their parents with the highest quantity (6 hours) of 4-5 age group which is 4 and 5
hours higher than the time for moms and dads of that group, respectively. Turn to the
remaining sectors, the weekends time for mothers is almost threefold to that for fathers.
