The map illustrates how Darwin's waterfront area changed from 2009 to 2014.
Overall, it is clear that the waterfront area of Darwin town witnessed significant development. Most noticeably, the increases in areas and the addition of some areas.
In 2009, in the middle of the waterfront area, there is a lake and an industrial area surrounded by a footpath. Besides, in the south, there is another industrial area, and there are three residential buildings. While in the northwest, there is a school next to a convention center. Meanwhile, in the east, there is a footpath from the middle of the waterfront area that leads to the sea and swimming pool. In the northeast, there is a fishing area.
In 2014, in the middle of the waterfront area, the industrial area is replaced by a new swimming pool, and the lake remained. While the residential building added three more. Moreover, the industrial area is removed and added a footpath that leads to a new harbor. In addition, the fishing area and swimming pool in the east remained unchanged.
