Nowadays, with our society witnessing the unprecedented accumulation of material affluence, more and more people attach great importance to the improvement of their health states. At this time, a regular controversy arises. Some people reckon that the management of daily food is the most critical method that exerts beneficial effects on our health, while others hold a reverse viewpoint that we should control the amount of our stress we encounter every day. As far as I am concerned, doing exercise should be viewed as a superior option in terms of improving health.
In the first place, exercising is conducive to our physical health. In modern society, sitting in front of computers all day and night, individuals can easily get some health problems, such as eye strain and chronic illnesses in their necks. Workouts offer valuable opportunities for us to stretch our arms and legs, leading to robust bodies and accelerating blood circulation. Take me as an example. When I was in middle high school, I was always busy with my studies, and never spent my spare time doing exercise. All the time I saved was used to study and read some books that could enrich my knowledge and improve my academic performance in the final exam. Gradually, I found that I always got some diseases and hardly recovered from the small flu. At that moment, I started to do some exercise, and eventually, I possess a better body and keep healthy.
In addition, it is also advisable for us to exercise since it also delivers some benefits to our mental health. Nowadays, people are enduring more and more pressure caused by earning money and living, and they rarely have some chances to really unwind their tired hearts. At this moment, taking some exercise can help us retrieve the peace of our life and create a provisional wonderland for us to escape from the hustle and rustle of life. For example, one of my friends, Lucy, entered a company listed in Fortune 500 after graduation. After work, she always gets exhausted, with her brain enslaved by the work. Under this circumstance, she would like to swim in the pool to refresh herself. In this way, she can retrieve the energy again, get deep relaxation, and have a fresh mind.
Admittedly, controlling what you eat and regulating the stress you face in life also functions well sometimes. A healthier recipe can improve the daily nutrition you ingest and managing the stress you have to deal with can also facilitate the balance between work and life. However, we should also emphasize that these practices sometimes need more delicate skills and implementations may be complicated. After a whole day's work or study, these practices cannot readily handle the problems since we have already burned out and don't have the energy to think about the recipe thoroughly, and some pressure is also unavoidable and out of our control.
In a nutshell, managing the amount of exercise is the most efficient way for us to improve our health. On no account should we ignore the effects of workouts on physical and mental health, and a better body can definitely constitute a steppingstone for our future development.
