The two maps below show an island, before and after the construction of some tourist facilities.
The map illustrates two stages of the island – before and after the construction of tourist facilities.
It is apparent that, as the number of house grows, the more tourist facilities have established. Reception, pier, restaurant and motorised way have built without much affect to the number of trees on the island.
Before the facilities were constructed, the island was uninhabited; only trees and beach, and most of the places were empty. Many tourists’ facilities have been made including many accommodation facilities, reception centre, and restaurant, pier for boating and swimming facilities in the beach. Interestingly, the construction for tourists have finalised without destroying of natures. Footpath and vehicle track have built for the easier access to most of facilities, which built around the beach. The footpaths were made to walk among the residential areas toward the beach whilst the vehicle track created to land from the pier to drive toward to the restaurant via around the reception area.
