The table below shows the cinema viewing figures for films by country, in millions.
The table elucidates four different types of movies (action, romance, comedy and horror) watched by four countries.
The Indian spent the most of their times watching all types of movies except for horror compared to other four countries. In all four countries, action is the most popular genre of film; about 7-8 millions of people watched.
However, Indian individuals spend their time at the cinema by watching all genres of films except for horror. India recorded the highest number of viewers for all genres of films (8 millions, 7.5 millions, 6.5 million and 2.5 millions for action, romance, comedy and horror, respectively). This trend is similar for Japan as more than one third of people preferred to watch action than of horror – 7.1 millions for the former and 2.2 million for the latter. However, romance films are very popular in India than any other countries.
Not many people like watching horror films at the cinema compared to the other types of movies except for Ireland. The most popular films in Ireland were action and the horror came in the 2nd place. New Zealanders at least preferred to spend their time at the cinema by watching the comedy.
