The maps below show an industrial area in the town of Norbiton, and planned future development of the site.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The first diagram illustrates the layout of an industrial region located in the town of Norbition at the present, and the second shows some changes that will be made to this plan.
It is clear that the most noticeable modification will be the addition of some facilities and housing areas. Some changes will also involve the use of the space of some zones and the expansion of the road.
Looking at the diagram in more detail, we can see that there is a factory at the end of the road which is located at the east side of the original roundabout now, but this will be totally replaced to make way for a novel school in the future. Other industrial zones along this road are going to be demolished to make way for new housing areas. A playground will be constructed at the space between the mentioned road and the river, and a small route which will be in the middle of two new housing areas and lead to the playground is going to be added. It is also obvious that a new roundabout is going to be built on the bottom side of the initial rotary. Along the road between two roundabouts in the future, there will be new shops on the left and a medical centre on the right.
According to the plan, the roads are going to be expanded to the north initial rotary, and this will result in the destruction of a factory on the north of the rotary. The new route will be across the river and we will witness its expansion to the left and right, which will be accompanied by the construction of new housing areas on the farmland. It is remarkable that the factories on the west side of the rotary are going to be demolished to make way for the expansion of the road from the rotary to the north-west. There will be some residential areas that will be constructed around these new routes. No changes are going to be made to the original roundabout.
