The given line graph demonstrates the ratio of workers who had a day-off or more owning to sickness from different Europeans countries in the period of 10 years from 1991 to 2001.
In general, Netherlands had the highest percentage in almost all years, meanwhile Germany accounted for the lowest proportion.
As it can be clearly seen, around 5% of people from Netherlands were off from work in 1991, then it reached to the peak of nearly 5.5%. However, it experienced a downward trend which dropped to approximately about 4%. France underwent completely different trend in comparison to Sweden. France fell dramatically about 2 % between 1991 and 1996. On the other hand, Sweden stayed stably at 3% in the first stage of the given years and then increased remarkably more than by 1.5%.
Both the percentage of the workforce of UK and Germany who took sick leave started at 2% in the year of 1991. UK seemed to remain the same rate in the period of 10 years which rose gradually. In term of Germany, it fluctuated slightly which witnessed no big difference over the entire period.
