It is apparent that the most popular phones were Samsung and Nokia. The sales of Samsung and Apple increased over the projected periods while LG and Nokia experienced a detrimental trend.
Samsung recorded the highest mobile phone sales in 2013 while Nokia initially experienced the highest sales. The demand for Samsung mobile phone rose drastically from over 200 million to well over 400 million in the given periods. In contrast, the number of Nokia's mobile phone sold in the world decreased over the projected period, with a slight drop of about 10 million in 2011, to end at above 200 million by 2013.LG showed the similar trends of those for Nokia, as it fell by half from about 400 million as it was the lowest mobile phone sold in the world.
The records for ZTE mobile phone sales in the world remained unchanged throughout the period as it stayed at about 50 million.
